Zirconia beads applied in pesticide SC industry

According to the traditional grinding process(3 sets in series grinding) of pesticide sc production, the common beads size applied are Φ1.8-2.0mm,Φ1.4-1.6mm,Φ1.0-1.2mm or Φ1.4-1.6mm,Φ1.0-1.2mm,Φ0.8-1.0mm. As the traditional sand mills inner chamber are stainless steel material or carbon steel coated with chromium, the inner chamber anti-abrasion ability is very weak so we could use only 65% zirconia silicate beads as the grinding media. Compared with 95% zirconia bead, zirconia silicate is of less density and easier to break during the grinding, which will greatly affect the pesticide SC production efficiency and final product quality.
With the development of pesticide SC production, the factories are gradually replacing their old sand mills with new sand mills, which could use 95% zirconia beads and the smallest beads can use 0.4mm. 95% zirconia bead has more density and has less abrasion, which will help to enhance the production efficiency, and will not affect the final product color and quality.
To use 95% zirconia beads for the production of pesticide SC will be a good trend.
